Davide & Brenda rode from Italy to Calais, crossed the channel to Folkstone, stayed in Finsbury Park, then headed southwest over the Salisbury Plains to Stone Henge before a visit to Salisbury Cathedral. Stopped at 3peaks for a puncture repair and minor adjustments before heading back to Folkestone. Thanks for visiting England and spending some of your euros. I hope the riding was good, that you enjoyed your time here with us and got safely back home to Italy. Please do come again.
350ELSIE!!!!! Immaculate! Brings back memories…..there weren’t no better feeling than backing my bike into a parking space with my tribe at Chelsea Bridge on a Friday night. Charcoal burgers and boiling hot tea in a styro-tex cup….so damn hot that you needed to put your gloves on to hold it. Then rip up to Heston Services on the M4 at midnight with my “L”plates in my back pocket.
When I was 18 or 19 there was one motorcycle that instilled fear in me when it pulled up next to me at the lights. The Laverda Jota. Not many manufacturers were brave enough to paint their bikes orange back then, but the Laverda wore it well. I didn’t even realise that the engine was a triple until Chris rolled up with this one.
I don’t think I’ve ever met a couple so into their bike. A Suzuki Katana which they’ve had from new and which they both part take with its maintenance and upkeep. Well done Howie & PiP…….she’s gorgeous.
Stacker and I were Dispatch Riders back in the late 80’s and naughties. We rode to live and lived to ride. I was taken aback when he rolled up for a set of Metzelers. I hadn’t seen him for maybe 30 yrs. That Ride or Die attitude is still within…..
“GS Dude and the Bonneville Babe had their Sunday ride out to Stonehenge rudely interrupted by a puncture. Thanks for your custom people, albeit under unfortunate circumstances.”
Return of the Easy Rider with a new paint job, hence the smile and flowing locks. Definitely looking the part James.
“ Beauty and the Beast. A love story that goes way back. And the Ninja Thou is definitely a beast.”
Is there such a thing as a bike made for a Priest. Here’s someone who thinks it’s called a Honda Transalp…..mild mannered, an abundance of appreciated torque, would convey you to a missionary to the far reaches of planet earth and give thanks that it was chosen to get you there. So if you happen pull up next to Father David at the lights in the Parishes of Esher and Thames Ditton, ask nicely and he might bless your bike quickly before they change to green.
It’s unusual to see an all women’s Motocross team, so mum and daughter Carolina & Carmen deserve a special mention and our support. !!GO GET EM CARMEN!!
Andreus popped in this Sunday for a quick puncture repair and Vladimir decided to make a day of it by coming out on his sliced ‘n diced GSXR thou, a project he’s been working on during the winter months with spectacular results. They’re heading off to Box Hill now so Vlads can show off his legs.
Eccentric is as eccentric does. After all….variety is the spice of life. This is Richard’s(AKA Uncle Dave) latest purchase, the hub-centre steered Yamaha GTS. There’s only 6 of these registered in the UK….not many! So if you see Uncle Dave, please give him a wave.
When Giuseppe rolled up with his 900SS, memories of myself swinging my leg over an 851 came flooding back. Now I’m thinking…..damn….I should’ve bought that bike.
Lisa here completed her learner stint on a Honda CM125 bless her, on passing her test her dad gave her his mint Bandit 600. It reminds me of the days when I used to sit outside the Ace Cafe watching riders wheelie them to within an inch of their life. Lisa’s Dad….your the best.
Here’s John J getting his hands dirty scrubbing the protective blue coating off a new whitewall while granddaughter Bella and Alan assist with some words of encouragement. Typical Harley dude….always wanna do the best bit themselves
Army Vet and semi- retired Artic Lorry Driver Perry admitted that his Triumph Tiger would probably never see more than a gravel road and could get more out of the bike with a pair of road tyres rather than the adventure style Metzeler Tourance Next tyres that were currently on it. After some deliberation he went in for a set of RoadTec 01’s which made total sense as once fitted, they gave the bike a more purposeful look than the Tourances’ did. Being the MCN winner of the 2020 tyre test he’ll probably get a bit more grip too. Wise choice Perry.
Easy Rider: Outlaw James rolled into town with only one thing on his mind…..a fresh set of white walls.
Terence completes the customisation of his Ducati Scrambler with a set of knobbly tyres. The 180/55 on the rear looks out of this world.
Thanks Tony for bringing your latest project, the Zed thou to us for some diagnostics. Next morning after you left, I walked into the garage and my Ninja said to me ” I enjoyed the time I spent with Great Uncle Zed….he taught me a thing or two about muscle”
Oi !!…..De Fraga… roll that 1290 down to the corner before you fire her up please, there’s pensioners in the village
Taking full advantage of the recent heat wave, Piano Man made a parts run on this mint Velocette. Pre Unit gearbox and Amal carb with remote float bowl incorporating a Tickler no less. She fired on the first kick and started on the second. I was impressed! Well what would you expect from a piano tuner….
Matt here is on one of the last of the 16 inchers……with this here Blade. Love the colours on it, as it reminds me of when I first obtained a race licence and attended an ACU practice day at Mallory Park. I was going into Gerrards, sat upright, on the brakes and my right knuckles pointing towards the horizon, when Steve Hislop came past me on the Cadburys Boost Yamaha flat on the tank with the Knuckles on his right hand pointing towards the sky. And that’s how I learned to take a corner. MR. Hislop…… I am forever in your debt. RIP
You will have to look close to see that Marcus here is holding up a 4inch nail that punctured one of his tyres. Beware when filtering between the kerb and the traffic and coming up to islands and traffic lights when surfing the white lines in the middle of the road as there is no accounting for the amount of crap the gets washed onto them after a bout of rain. 4inches is a record for an object that has punctured a tyre in the albeit short history of 3peaksmc’s, so Marcus you win the 2020 Golden Plug Award. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
X Int. Marathon Runner Mr. Clark rolled in on a worn set of Dunlops with a puncture and rolled out with a fresh set of Michelins. 3peaks reckons he deserves a mention here as he is teaches History & P.E. at secondary school and is currently still at work looking after children of key workers. I’ll tell you this….if one of my teachers rode a Yamaha Tracer 9, I would get to school early every morning and wait near his parking spot just so I could hear the triple rumble through the gates and drool over it for 5 minutes before class. Is my Gramma ok Sir?
Oscar has to be the coolest learner rider this side of Chessington with this 4stroke 125 replica of the 1966 TT winning Honda RC166 six cyclinder 250. We can’t wait to see what his next choice of bike will be.
A hero in our midst. Noel is a nurse currently assigned to the Nightingale Hospital over in East London, using some of his precious time off to get a new whitewall fitted to his Hogster before the start of his next shift. 3peaks were obliged to sort him out.
In true Harley owner fashion Noel opted to clean the protective blue off the whitewall himself……SHUCKS!!! that’s the best bit!
This is ex-courier Vince’s long term project. Take a chopper and chop it some more. We like the way the Metzeler Marathon and the chopped rear mudguard gives the Suzuki Intruder that agricultural 50’s American look. But today Vince is here for tyres for his 900 Diversion as he is going to his club rally in Germany. So 3peaksmc’s supplied him with a pair of Dunlop GPR300’s which are capable of handling high speeds on the autobahn, but inexpensive enough as to not put a dent in his beer budget. Have fun Vince!
James rolled in pointing to the rear of BMW R9T. “Does it look big in this” whilst looking at the OE numberplate hanger. “Errrr….well…I guess it does” I said. Not fancying any of the of aftermarket Tail tidies to be found on the inter web we decided to have a go at cobbling one up from scratch. “Looking good.” No not you James……the bike
